Parent & child classes have 8 children to 1 teacher. Pods I & pods II there are 8 children to 3 teachers. Pods III & pods IV there are 10 children to 2 teachers.

  • What if my child cries?

It is common for most children to cry on the first day of swim class. This is a normal reaction. Our staff here at pods swimming are highly trained in these situations. Pulling a child out of swim lessons due to crying is never a recommended course of action. Removing them from the lesson will show them that crying will get them their way. Usually the crying phase is much harder on the parent than it is on the child. If your child is crying, it is best to get out of the line of sight from your child.

  • What if my child misses a class?

Makeup classes are allowed if a child is unable to swim as per the child’s Dr. For example, if your child has an ear infection, broken bone or a skin rash or any medical condition that enables them from going in a pool.

Makeup’s will also be permitted due to family emergency’s. For example If there is hospitalization or death of a family member or friend.

Makeup’s may also be permitted in unique situations per the directors discretion. Makeup’s will not be allowed due to your child being on vacation.

If Pods has to change the time of your scheduled class and you are unable to make the new scheduled time due to prior commitments, a makeup class will be permitted.

The time that you chose for your child to participate in swim lessons, is your childs scheduled class time. Most Pods swim classes are at capacity. Each class is staffed for the number of swimmers who have enrolled. A swimmer can not just participate is a different class time from week to week.

  • When will my baby be ready to go into a class without me?

This varies from child to child. A child must be at least 2 years old to go into a class on their own but all 3 year olds need to be without a parent.

  • When will my child be water safe?

A child is NEVER water safe. Though there are steps you can take to help a child become safer in the water, you should never leave a child unattended in or near the water.
